Night Shifts:
- Typically 8-12 hours long, often from 9 PM to 7 AM or similar hours.
- Can be booked for a few nights per week or up to 6 nights per week.
Daytime Shifts:
- Usually 10-12 hours long.
- Often between 8 AM and 8 PM, with a minimum of 4 hours.
24/7 Care:
- Combines day and night care, with the caregiver living in.
- Usually includes a 4-8 hour break within each 24-hour period.
Length of Service:
- Can range from a few weeks to several months.
- Often booked for 2-3 months, though some families are opting for longer-term contracts recently.
- Families start using the service from the day they return home from the hospital.
Booking in Advance:
- It's recommended to start the hiring process in the second trimester of pregnancy.
